Peace, Control and a little bit of Joy!

Hi All!

Last week, we discussed creating actionable steps and boundaries to help combat feeling overwhelmed. This week, let's talk about the benefits of doing so. Putting these strategies into practice has helped me feel less guilty about setting those steps and boundaries, like taking Sundays off for myself and purposefully not getting anything done.

Establishing a schedule and boundaries has brought me a sense of peace and control. When I have a plan for the week, I feel more productive and accomplished. Even if I complete just one task from my weekend schedule, I feel proud of myself for making progress. For instance, a couple of weekends ago, I had planned to organize my makeup and hairdressing supplies, something I had wanted to do for months. I bought organizing containers from Amazon and Target, and finally took the time to go through everything.

When I can see tangible results and stick to my boundaries, especially those I've set for myself, I feel less overwhelmed and more in control. I know that unexpected things can happen and disrupt my schedule, which is why I try to keep my expectations reasonable and manageable. That way, when the unexpected arises, I don't get frustrated and overwhelmed all over again.

This weekend I decided to focus on doing something that brings me joy, and got my plants and pots all planted and added some color to my little bit of yard! 😀 🤗
