Hello and Welcome!

Updated: Apr 20

Hey all, I hope you're doing well. Since this is my first blog, I wanted to share a little about myself and what inspired my passion for helping small businesses and entrepreneurs.

I grew up in a family-owned business, surrounded by other entrepreneurs and business owners. From an early age, I was immersed in that entrepreneurial spirit and drive. Seeing it first hand made me passionate about working with small businesses and their leaders to help them grow and succeed.

However, one of the biggest challenges I witnessed was the struggle to maintain a healthy work-life balance. In family-owned businesses especially, the lines between work and personal life can become extremely blurred. The business was a regular part of our lives growing up, and as I got older and started helping out, I realized how difficult it is to separate the two when the business is your livelihood.

Entrepreneurs pour their heart and soul into their ventures, often at the expense of other important aspects of life like health, relationships, and personal fulfillment. I became passionate about not just helping businesses thrive, but also teaching entrepreneurs how to create sustainable balance.

As an entrepreneur, maintaining a healthy work-life balance is already an immense challenge. You pour your heart and soul into your business, often blurring the lines between professional and personal time. However, when you also take on the role of caregiver for a loved one, that pursuit of balance becomes even more arduous.

When I became a caregiver for my mom, an entirely new set of demands landed in my lap. Juggling the needs of my business, the family business, my full time job  and a loved one requiring care is the ultimate exercise in prioritization and time management. It's a never ending list of crucial responsibilities that can crumble if neglected. On the other side, your caregiving duties have their own list of demands on you physically, mentally and emotionally.

Pulled in all these directions, the risk of burnout is immense. I've experienced days when I worked from dawn until I could barely keep my eyes open, fitting in caregiving tasks any spare moment I had. Other days, I've had to step away from the business frequently to handle caregiving needs, while feeling guilty about being away.

Over time, I've learned some techniques to better balance these dual roles of business owner and caregiver. Developing a strong support system, rigorously prioritizing tasks, and fiercely protecting self-care time have become essential. I'll share more insights in future posts.

But for now, I simply want to acknowledge the entrepreneurs and caregivers out there who are facing this double duty every single day. You aren't alone, and your ability to show up on multiple fronts while being pulled in different directions is incredibly admirable. WE are in this TOGETHER!!

Much Love,

Coach Andrea 😄
